Tearaway!

Following up my games of 2014- Here's the first game that I played:

There were few games that I started last year that were as visually impressive as Tearaway. I don't know if it was the two dimensional art style or the interesting ways that the game forces you to use the PSVita. It was all of that combined into an interesting story of colors, paper, and imagination.

This game can be summarized as "PSVita: the game".

2014 in Review Part 1

Weird year for video games:

Delays.
Bugs.
Hype.
Anticipation.
Expansions
DLC
or no games.

I found myself working on the backlog of games throughout the year and I'd like to dive further into each of these titles in a better blog format, but for now... Here's the list of games I was able to finish in 2014-

New Year New Things

This year I'm working on the Back Log. And I'm going to finish some games!! For REALS! This comic of mine sums up the situation:

Well I kinda dropped off the face of the earth after E3 last year didn't I? I found my time taken up by my other project and I haven't been able to update incompletionist. And I didn't finish any games. So here's to a new year of video games!

Let's go through the list of games that I played in 2013:

  • Fire Emblem Awakening
  • Super Mario 3D Land
  • Persona 3 Portable
  • Etrian Odyssey 4
  • Animal Crossing: New Leaf
  • Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate
  • Tearaway
  • Gravity Rush
  • Dark Souls
  • Pokemon X
  • Dragon's Dogma
  • Pokemon Red
  • Dragon Quest 8 and 9

Games finished since last year:
Super Mario 3D Land... maybe? I need to double check the save.
Dragon Quest 9
Attack of the Friday Monsters (because it was super short).

... is that it? I never finish games.

My Very Long List of E3 Predictions

E3 starts tomorrow. I've never been excited for E3, but this year is incredibly different with each of the major console makers touting new hardware and flashy new software. The PS4, Xbox One, and Wii U all are trying to make a splash with consumers, and now is the time to convince the industry that each are viable platforms. Wow. I'm excited to hear about stuff. There could be MEGATONS of info this week.

Animal Crossing New Leaf OMG

We are six days away from the release of Animal Crossing: New Leaf! OMG.

I know I'm not the only adult excited about this game... and to be honest this game seemingly defies all notions of what I enjoy in a video game. When I first played Animal Crossing: City Folk I was hooked. This game scratches a weird itch that makes me want to collect everything. Kind of in a World of Warcraft kind of way... I'm not sure how to describe it. There are about infinity amounts of stuff to get and collect.
